The Consulate of Switzerland, known as the Swiss House for Advanced Research and Education (SHARE) in Cambridge, Massachusetts (near Boston) is the only foreign representation of Switzerland dedicated primarily to Education, Research, Innovation, Art and Design.
SHARE Boston is, due to its particular mission, a joint operation of the State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Swiss Federal Department of the Interior and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
SHARE Boston is part of a global network of Swiss Science & Technology Offices (STO) and forms, together with the Office of Science and Technology of the Swiss Embassy in Washington D.C. and the swissnex in San Francisco, the official Swiss Science Network in North America, which has additional presences at the Swiss Embassy in Washington D. C. and at the Swiss Consulate General in San Francisco, operating under the name of swissnex in separate premises.
