Networking SHARE-style: scientists presentation with cheese and wine reception

This is to remind you that you should not miss out on our SHARE-style happy-networking-hour: we are hosting our second "Swiss scientists presentation" with special guest, State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Jean-Daniel Gerber, followed by a wine and Swiss cheese reception.

We are delighted to announce that Jean-Daniel Gerber, head of seco, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, will give introductory remarks and share his views on Swiss innovation. Mr. Gerber is an expert on Swiss - US economic relationships. He is looking forward to interacting with young scientists, entrepreneurs and business people.

7 local Swiss(-related) scientists and entrepreneurs will then present their activities through posters or other displays, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about what others are working on in the area. You will have a chance to walk around SHARE and talk one-to-one with the following local researchers who will have a display (poster/laptop) to present their research projects:

  • AnneMarie Bucher, Graduate School of Design, Harvard
  • Ines Mergel, JFK School of Government, Harvard University Networked Governance
  • Matthias Huber, MIT Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
  • Renaud Richardet, CTO, Wyona Open Source software: an example for Content Management System
  • Hanspeter Waldner, Brigham Womens' Hospital, Harvard Medical School Genetic and cellular mechanisms of T cell tolerance to self-antigens
  • Andreas Zumbuehl, MIT Langer Lab Healing by Killing - surface materials killing pathogenic yeast
  • Olivier Dormond, Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School Briscoe Lab Role of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in human endothelial cell activation

Everyone is welcome and you should feel free to let your colleagues and friends know about this event. This is a good occasion to visit SHARE and (re)connect in a relaxed atmosphere.
