Social Entrepreneurship

Finding innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems, social entrepreneurs are ambitious and persistent, tackling major social issues and offering new ideas for wide-scale change. SHARE invites you to engage in a discussion with some of these practical visionaries.

Heiner Baumann of NEW PROFIT will introduce the topic and explain how new initiatives look at harnessing and leveraging entrepreneurship to solve important social issues.

Matt Herren of BIOVISION will then present his project using new technologies to reinvent education in Kenya. Matt will be visiting Boston to receive the TR35 Award of the MIT Technology Review in recognition of his innovative spirit as a social entrepreneur.
